Had a 10/10 game for Canberra this arvo, showed off all his skills as the fantastic player he is. He won the game for Canberra and saved Matt from remaining on 0 tips (1s still pretty embarrasing though). He made breaks, set up breaks, kicking game was great and his defense was also great. Carney for the blue number 7

As I have already said Matt, as much as you want that big post count these sort of replies are useless. Please expand to a justifiable degree.

lol i didnt think that this particular pst needed any explaniation screw beating u that got old fast my new goal is to get enough posts for three stars. Carney played really well in 1 game ur opinon whilst at this time may be right is to early to make and there are too many other halfbacks who deserve a shot ahead of him.

I disagree.... I hope your note vouching for Orford. Finch maybe? Wallace maybe? Mullen %&$@ NO! I am not basing my opinion on only today, he has been playing well for a while, today just highlighted to me how good he is.

he is has not proved himself good enough for long enough in my opion. my order would of chioosing 7's wuld be Kimmorley, Finch, Cronk?, Orford, Carney, Wallace, Mullen. u have to understand u need to take into account past track records at NSW level, the team e.g. it would be top quality meaning a quality 6 and 9 which would mean that a player like orford would have more support in running plays which would take pressure off him which would raise his performance (Monaghan did it for Manly last year and Orford was the better for it).

Sorry but if they pick Orford I will not watch state of origin. (Unless he plays brilliantly over the next few weeks, which he wont) Even last year alongside Monaghan Orford was not a "fantastic" player.
Cronk is QLD unfortunately, otherwise this thread would be called Cronk for NSW number 7. Kimmorley and Finch fair enough, but they dont have x-factor, IMO Carney is getting towards that stage. I don't see anything that Kimmorley and Finch have that Carney doesn't - except for more experience which could be a deciding factor. (But hey, Carney needs to gain experience at some stage)

If Orford could preform like he did against the eels every time he played he would be the real favorite for the 7. Apart from the 1 error that caused a try which may have been caused by the slippery conditions he had a top game, his kicks in play were much better his defence at the back end of the game when we needed someone step up was awesome he talked the boys up and he let Lyon and Le'strange run a few plays and let lyon and Stewart take some of the longer kicks which took presure off him. All in all a top game from Orford... lets see if he can do it next week

Another insightful, useless post really. What's your source? If you are disagreeing with me you need an explanation rather than that. nrl.com/News/Latest/tabid/10244/default.aspx?id=52090That was 8 o'clock tonight. Nowhere since then can I find anything about him his contract being torn up or anything like that. The charges have been dropped, he may sit out this weekend but will be back.

1. Gallops an idiot. 2. Was this said before the charges were dropped?
Its not up to Gallop anyway, its up to the Raiders.

Canberra have decided afterall to terminate his contract. This has shocked many in the League community, especially Canberra fans who are devastated. Todd is a great player... I really hope another club signs him and he can overcome his problems. And before you start saying I told you so, the Raiders made this decision and he has not deregistered from the NRL. My prediction is that he will end up in England But I hope an NRL club signs him...

I told you so. I said he was still in trouble and now he's found that out. He dont think he will go to England, an NRL side will sign him up fast.

He's been banned from the NRL for next year, quite unfair.
I hope he gets a gig in ESL and kills it.
