Well Davo, Cam White is getting a squad spot by default. Everyone else is getting injured!!!
Krejza looks rubbish. So far 25 overs for 136 (0 wickets) in the warm up match.
Australia are getting dominated, Hussey in form the only man to get a century for us.
I feel for Phil Jaques, he has lost his spot to Katich! Although I like Katich as well, pretty hard on Jaques.

Somebody announced that Katich had been moved ahead of Jaques in the pecking order.
Cant remember who.
Maybe they will bring him back for the test I don't know.

Ponting has declared it is a toss up between White and Krejza as to who gets the test spot. content-aus.cricinfo.com/indvaus2008/content/current/story/372517.htmlTo be honest I would go with White. Krejza's performance in the warm up was just poor. 0/199.... I don't see how White could do any worse. Also Katich failed in both innings so they might think about bringing Jaques back in...

Apparently they are keeping Jaques out because of the difficulty he has playing spin.
I am realy looking forward to today's game. My predictions? 2-1 to Australia, we will open with a win. Mike Hussey leading run scorer and Stuey Clark top wicket taker.
Come on Aussie, smack those Indians. Can't wait for 3 o'clock!

Hayden out caught behind.
Rediculous decision, Haydos got nowhere near it.
Indians are accusing us of cheating, that shout was so rediculous that I would call that cheating.

Dude deadset two balls into the series and your already crying about cheating?!?!!?!?! c'mon.

Haha, you lack the skills to identify the meaning of my message. I was simply having a dig at Indians, I don't seriously think they were cheating.
If we were Indians we would have been calling for that ump to be sacked, or we're bailing out of the series!

Well Watson lasted long, he's a wasted player in test matches get him out.

Well, I was spot on with Hussey.
Bowling is going to let us down though. Only Clark looked moderately dangerously. No suprises from my mate Mitch, going for nearly 6 an over. Meanwhile Hilfy is over here knocking over Aussie batsmen. He's the kind of bowler that would be very valuable in a situation like today... A natural swinger.

White and Watson won't last long in test cricket
Why not drop Katich to 5 or 6, and use his spinners, then you can add Jacques to the top of the order, then it doesn't feel like the last 6 are going to get skittled for nothing

Good point Nick.
I really don't know what good having Watson and White in the team does.
And Haddin should have batted 6th.
From memory Katich prefers batting down the order and now there is room for him there. Doing that and opening with Jaques would create a very solid lineup. Then pick between Watson or White, one or the other.

Bloody hell, we really need a bowler who is a GENUINE swinger of the ball. HINT HINT.
Kahn really showed how its done yesterday. Deadly, quick, inswinging yorkers, followed by an outswinger. It was pure class, and it leaves our bowlers for dead. I'm not picking on Mitch this time, I'm having a go at all of the pacers. Something has to be done, had Australia sent a night watchman in the face 4 overs of the NEW BALL, the India pacers would have dismissed him in no time. Yet a couple of nights ago Sharma comes in to face Lee and Siddle, who bowled everywhere but on the stumps and got swing maybe once every 5 balls.
Throughout India's innings we're hearing: Pitch is a road, nothing in it for the bowlers, no swing at all. Yet over 30 OVERS into Australia's innings, Kahn is still swinging it a mile!!!
Let me just say that when 4 of India's top order falls because of: 2 bad unlucky edges to bad balls down leg side, a chop on to a ball high and wide of off stump and a mindless slog after already getting a century, it doesn't say much about our bowling. Only 2 fell to decent balls.
And Clarke FFS treat the last over of a days play as if its just any other over!!!
Watson won't last long, I think Haddin could score some runs. If we bat out the day it will be a miracle but thats what we need to do.
Also congrats to Cam White, I think there was a lot of unfair criticism of his bowling yesterday, but I think through that innings he bowled very well. He deserved his 2 wickets.

jaques has gone home with a niggling injury,

my tip about hayden has been correct thus far

The telecast just highlighted Australia's problem perfectly.
The good old pitch map was brought out. 90% of Kahns deliveries were in the "Good" area, while Johnson's was evenly spread all over the place. And I'm sure that Lee and Siddle don't have any better.
