Haddin and Symonds both in doubt for the Twenty20. I suspect Ronchi will play, good chance for him to impress (even if it is Twenty20).
My lineup for the ODI would be:
Watson Clarke Ponting Michael Hussey David Hussey Symonds Haddin (Or perhaps Haddin opening?) White/Hopes Lee Bracken Clark
Whatever eventuates, we are going to have a HUGE batting lineup, and there will be no excuses for poor performances. Any bad failures from that lot and theres the likes of Hopes and Marsh waiting to come in.

Supercoah is an evidence based, scientific coach but every now and then he reads the sunday papers sports gossip page....last sunday in the tele a little paragraph about my 'favorite' australian player being on the nose with his team mates for being petulant and aggressive

Your real favourite? No, Im guessing sarcasm again So it is Symonds? He's great friends with Clarkey (as far as I know) so I hope there is no division being created in the camp.

Johnson watch for 1st ODI: MG Johnson 7 overs 1/42His wicket was a newbie. Congrats to Shaun Marsh, a fantastic debut for him. Didn't watch the game but saw the hightlights, he hit some real rippers! I am pretty convinced of his talent now, I believe he will become permanent opener in the future. Bracken is a really amazing ODI bowler. He only bowled 5.5 overs for his 4 wickets. I saw 2 that came of superb slower balls. Loved the one that bowled Sammy. The foolish crowd went off their nut even though it was clearly out. Can't believe they don't have a big screen but still, pathetic reation (something I would more expect in India!). Sorry Davo, but I don't see Cameron White having any future in this side. He hasn't been performing with bat or ball lately, I would put Watson, Hopes, David Hussey, Marsh all ahead of him. Clarkey bowls better than him, and with that we have more than enough bowlers. Good to see Haddin in the runs with a quality, quick 50 ;D He is more suited down the order and will stay there Tough for the Windies when one of your top pacers only bowls 3 overs for 22. Did Edwards get injured out something? Simple changes I would make for next game: Johnson out for anybody, Symonds in for White (depending on fitness).

Haddin is out for the remainder of the tour, he's on his way home. Ronchi gets a chance to impress. Edwards out for WI Fantasy team is hurting haha. Bad start, 2/19. Hope Punter can make his 300th ODI one to remember! The sight screen problems that they are having is really pathetic, its just an ongoing problem, you would think that they would just leave them on the black setting to avoid embarrasment.

Poor, very poor from the Windies. I was extremely impressed with their start. Saw off Lee and Bracken well then exploded against M. Nonsense and Hopes. Gayle was extremely unlucky, it could have been a different story if that didn't happen, but the Windies middle order was pretty pathetic. To post a total of 220 from the position they were in was terrible.
Congrats to Shane Watson, great innings to watch there. The last 2 games will be a battle between Marsh and Watson to see who will be Haydos' batting partner in the future. Good to see Punter back in form as well.
Also, great game for Ronchi!! 2 great catches and lightning relfexes for that stumping.

Ponting is out for tonights 4th ODI. David Hussey comes into the site, Clarkey to skipper. Glad that David will get a chance, it may be his last for a while. There is also a chance Binga might be rested for Clark.
The Windies are also making some changes with Benn (dropped) and Taylor (injured) both out.
This is likely to put some stress on fantasy teams!

I'm glad that Clarke's been given the chance to captain. I personally think that Ponting's passed it and if he continues to dish out these poor performances he should gracefully steped back from the spotlight.

Woohooo! Great win for the boys. Clarke really went for the jugular. Marsh and Watson did what he wanted them to do and got us off to a solid, fast start. When I saw Ronchi come in at number 3 I knew what the plan was and felt sorry for the pain Windies were about to endure. Sure enough Ronchi's 50 came off 22 balls, great stuff. Losing Clarke, Marsh and Ronchi all in a short space wasn't the plan, but our crazy long batting lineup came into action. Symonds played a very very good innings to steadily build for a big finish. Mike Hussey was even better. Then David came in and blasted it, Windies dominated.
Johnson 5 wickets. Damn. Oh well Australia will feel the pain eventually.
