U16/2s - CC Strickers vs Saints Score: 3 - 3
Davids Play Of The Day: Made a 30m break by shaming 4 players and then putting in a toe punt chip to almost set up a goal but stricker missed.

Haha nice Davo Another useless training session for us. I don't understand why we spent 45 minutes (thats right, HALF our entire training) on a set play. This involved 3 of us heading towards goal doing some dribbling/passes that ended up with a cross. We did this with no defence trying to stop us... In fact our defenders were doing the drill as well... How this helps them in a game is beyond me, also how it helps us in a game is beyond me as we probably dont have the mind to be able to implement it. We really just need to work on the basics... Play possesion, forwards vs backs, shooting practice etc Dont mean to be even more negative but I will be suprised if we win this weekend against a team we have apparently been "close" to for the past 5 years.

Ohhh God.
I Dont see the point of doing set plays at training. On Your half tom if half your team dont know how to like pass , dribble properly or like do certain kicks for the type of situation then I see no point in these drills lol. I feel sorry for you guys.
Our Training sessions are pretty good. We do - Running Drills - Ball Control - Ball Possesion - 6 vs 6 - Headers - Taking Shots at goals - Learning different types of kicks and Many more i cant remember =]

Training Session Report Date: Wednesday 7th May 2008 Teams: U16/2s & U16/3s Ground: St Matthews Farm
It was another cold day at St Matthews Farm. Good Conditions for another epic training. First started of with some jogging around the ground for 2 laps. As Nick McLachlan was leading his Division 3 team with the jogging they maintained it and beat the Division 2 team due to the fact we were doing stretches while doing our jogging.
As we had a rest after the 2 laps we did a Star drill which went pretty good. Everyone passed the ball to the middle player good and the drill went flowly except Ben Li who stuffed it up a few times.
After the "Star" Drill we took some shots left and right. As I (David) scored the first goal with a brillant ball from Nick McLachlan I couldnt maintain the goals coming as some Division 3 Players could not pass at least 20meters.
Then it was time for David to step up to the plate and go in the goals to stop some Gun shots for the players. Mostly all the shots that were tacken agianst me were well wide, short , didnt even look like hitting the goals , or in some case over the bar *cough* Nick *cough.
Then we got into teams and played a friendly game. It was confusing to find the player on your team due to the fact we do not have bibs to identify your teammate so we had to use cones which sucked. The score at the end was 1-1 Good Game.
Davids Play Of The Day: During the shot practice one of the players puts in a great ball for Nick McLachlan to score agianst a keeper who had no gloves , and Nick takes a Bullet shot with his Left foot on the volley and David Le standing his ground knowing where to postion himself and saves a blinder of a goal to prove the 16/2s Coaches that he is back.

well another shate performance from our team.... we lost 6 or 7 nil, sorta lost count afta 5 at half time, this performance against a team our idiot coach thought we should have won (shows how much he knows). One again i believe this comes down to our poor positioning, non existant passing and shotty vision, which all comes back to the dumb training sessions we are subjected to. if we spent more time on perfecting our fundamentals we might actually be a pretty decent team, i believe we have the skills in the players, but we lack the skills in the coaching department, he is rigid and lacks any real vision in my opinion, which is weird because this hasnt been the case in past years, maybe he's lost his touch, We also need 2 more players in our squad to give us more depth. Also for some reason we play like u6's in the the first half and get hammered then we play alrite in the second half, for example St. Augustines were down 6-0 at halftime, final score 7-1, today we were down 5-0 at halftime, fulltime 6 or 7 nil only one or two goals in both games... wat the hell is up with that? ? o well there's my frustrated rant for tonight.

Matt - Unfortunately I dont think we played that much better in the second half. The only reason it appears we do is because the opposition drops off after knowing they have the game won. Im gonna talk to Tim at training and since he's captain reccomend that he talks to Ken, who unbelievably had "nothing bad to say" after the second half... Our defence is all over the place, its pathetic, in my stint at right back I noticed that our 2 centre backs standing one behind the other... Leaving others unmarked, I was like WTF!?!!
David - Dont complain about being moved around, so far this year I have played in every position except centre back and goalie!!!

Dont step infront of an Asian infront of the buffet line.Get back in line and wait your turn haha. Na nick am only being serious ;D
Hehe you can have a backage. Am in line for a game after a good impression in tonights 18/3s training camp.
Talking about that.
Training Report - U18/3s
It was time for David to do what he does best. Ring in teams just for fun and plus he has no life. So once agian for the 100th time I asked TC INK for a lift to St Matthews farm. So got there introduced myself and felt like i was in and blended in for once lol.
Did some really good drills but really hard to understand but they were really helpfull in a way. the coach is pretty good. He has a good understanding of the game. Some members may disagree but i have faith. So yeah straight to the practice game.
Playing on the left mid as Matthew Richards told me but as my opposite man was Andy ( Fast , Fancy Feet ) player i swaped and let some other random take it. I made couple breaks and put in some epic balls in for 1 goal. So yeah short story =]. GG
David's Play Of The Day : Did a decent Ronaldo Chop kick that got some good height and was infront everyone so props for me. Plus I got a dive in but wasnt that good of a dive cause i was running to slow and didnt look epic. 6/10 for my dive tonight.
GOOD GAME!!!

RICHARDS TO PLAY!!!!!
After recent speculation about Richard's fitness due to a calf injury and unknown sickness betting on Tom's Create A Bet had to be suspended till ths injury concerns were revealed. This morning at 9:45am the following statement was made "Richards will play despite a strained left calf muscle and a recent cold/flu that has recently been making its way around cromer campus."
lol na Tom im playing but since im sick and injured i think my odds should be widened....

I know Sam said to me that generally the teams that win lower divisions play as a team rather than have 1 dominating player... But on the weekend we didn't get beaten by Wakehurst, we got beaten by number 14... Cheers to Davo for playing, he did good and he's welcome back anytime ;D I feel it was a much better performance from us on the weekend and a win is only just around the corner.

i feel that our defense is to passive in our back 1/3, they should be attacking the ball instead of try to jockey the man its clearly not working considering we're averaging 5 goals scored against us each game.
