Ricky Ponting (c) Michael Clarke (vc) (subject to fitness) Stuart Clark Brad Haddin Matthew Hayden Michael Hussey Mitchell Johnson Simon Katich Jason Krejza Brett Lee Peter Siddle Andrew Symonds Shane Watson
I expect Watson and Siddle to miss the final XI.

Thank Christ White's gone he is nowhere near the quality that we need for a spinner, i can think of 5 other spinners better then him. Symonds is an interesting choice but his bowling variations got him over the line.

White didn’t even know how he made it into the team touring India. Good thing he is out.
Although Krazy did well in the India test, I still think a leg spinner is much more effective if possible. (No bias of course)
I would also like to see Bollinger get a go as despite his great pace, Johnson still cant swing it back into the right handers.
Possibly give Hilfy a go too.
What’s your view on Ponting’s use of the part timers and not going for the kill in the last test in India guys? The first time I’ve ever witnessed Watson look threatening and Ponting held him and a reversing swinging Lee out of the attack. Where is the winning Australian spirit? I know Border was not impressed. I certainly can’t remember ever seeing such an act of personal interest taking precedence over the chance of a result. Punt, or lack there of in my opinion.

Hilfy is out of the selectors picture at the moment, didn't even get a spot in tomorrow's Twenty20 Idiots. It was a mistake by Ponting, but Steve Waugh said it best in his column today. Australian cricket team captain is the hardest job in sport, mistakes can be made under huge pressure and we should really get off his back. Ponting captained us through some great times and now that things are turning the spotlight has been put on him. There were many, many more aspects contributing to the series loss. Honestly I don't think we would have won the test anyway.
