OK, tonight at training we decided that since our team is stuffed and that theres a very low chance that we will get another point this season, that we would come up with and attempt to execute some stupid/funny plays during the game. One that will be pretty much a certainty is that if we go 2 or 3 down, the entire team lines up on halfway, the ball gets played back to Matt from the kickoff and we all charge forward while Matt lofts the ball high in the air. I call it the KickOff Charge Another option was at the start of the game we play the ball all the way back to Matt immediately, who runs the ball to the corner and holds it, protecting it with his bigness for as long as he can and then try and force a goal kick... Then we just do it again Play for the 0-0 from the whistle Anyone else got some funny plays? Or can anyone else think some up, we will be keen to try them out and have some fun with this lost season.

Not as a football referee... Exploit the lack of rule against putting the ball in the keepers shirt and running up the field. Didn't hear it from me!

HAHAHA ;D Jules actually suggested a similar thing to me today, he said from the kickoff just pass it to someone who is ready to scoop the ball into their shirt and then they run into the goal But if there is actually no rule against the goalie doing it then it will probably be the go ;D

There's no specific rule Personally, I'd penalise you for 'circumnavigating the laws of the game' which is punishable by indirect free kick and a caution =p
Another one, 6 or so players hold hands, forming a ring around a player with the ball, and move up the field slowly, breaking away at the 18 yard box to be followed by a shot. Not against the rules, however, every player in the ring MUST be within playing distance of the ball, or it is obstruction. So it has to be a very tight ring ^^

;D Thought of that as well, but could that be circumnavigating the rules as well? How about the spear. The team makes a ^ shape while someone with the ball stays in the middle. And we charge up the field in formation Only problem is they would probably have time to run around and go in the back way. We are playing at Jackson road, and if we happen to get up at any point we plan to boot the ball over the fence in one of the corners at every opportunity But oh I'll probably get yellow carded by some idiot for kicking the ball away in play
