Good on him, going to a club that will probably appreciate him. He will get plenty of game time and good luck to him, hopefully he is over his injuries and can do some good stuff.
Galatasaray announce Kewell signing
After much speculation surrounding the whereabouts of Harry Kewell’s future club, Galatasaray recently announced their three year contract offered to Kewell has been accepted.
Kewell had been previously linked with Italian giants Roma and English premier division side Portsmouth.
His club of five years in Liverpool decided not to renew his contract after an injury plagued stint with the club. Many fans labeled him as “the worst signing ever”; Kewell will be hoping the Turkish fans appreciate his presence more than those at Anfield.
Tension between Kewell’s initial club Leeds United and Galatasaray will be further amplified as the horrific scenes of 2000 involving both clubs won’t be forgotten.
The Semi final of the UEFA Cup saw Galatasary come up against Leeds United. Although it wasn’t the game we remember it for, but the stabbing of two innocent Leeds supporters.

His first season at Istanbul will prove to be the most crucial in his career, injury may just end it, and success will extend it.
