Here are the State of Origin teams. NSW 1. B Stewart 2. J Hayne 3. M Gaznier 4. M Cooper 5. A Quinn 6. G Bird 7. P Wallace 8. B White 9. D Buderus (c) 10. B Cross 11. R Hoffman 12. W Mason 13. P Gallen 14. A Laffranchi 15. A Tupou 16. C Fitzgibbon 17. B Hornby QLD 1. B Slater 2. B Tate 3. G Inglis 4. J Hodges 5. I Folau 6. K Hunt 7. J Thurston 8. C Webb 9. C Smith (C) 10. P Civoniceva 11. M Crocker 12. S Thaiday 13. D Johnson 14. PJ Marsh 15. B Hannant 16. N Myles 17. J Lillyman O well clearly both states have stuffed up. putting Hunt as QLD 6 is stupid considering they have Prince IDIOTS!!!!! NSW are also idiots when it comes to there halfs i mean Bird and Wallace come could they have picked a worse combination? they should have picked Anasta and Finch but again the selectors are IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also it appears to me that NSW haven't picked a goal kicker in they're first 13. Great so now only are we gonna non existant halfs now were gonna have score double the tries because they're only gonna be worth 4 points. Also what has Tate done to deserve a spot his been bad clearly QLD think that they have no depth in their backs which is not the case, this is gonna be a joke of State of Origin

Hindmarsh, Kite should have been definate inclusions. Seems as though QLD wanted to make it a closer playing field after they saw our line up which is why they picked Karmichael Hunt. It baffles me as to how they decide these things. How the hell does Hornby get a place? I tell you now he will do 0

The Queensland Side like 5x Better than the NSW team.
Looks more balanced in there Structure.
For the blues to win the first game I think the players who need to shine are Cooper , Bird , Gallen , and Topou. Stuff the halfback not like his going to be notice.

Heres the team I myself would have picked to represent my state. My inclusions in blue. Close scrutiny would be put on the performances of White, Mason and Bird. I believe Mason has a tendancy to drop off if his team is not winning, and I have not seen much of White and Bird. IMO Lyon is a MUCH better centre than Cooper and El Masri holds experience and has just as much quality as Quinn, also provides the option of the best goal kicker in the league. With Anasta and Carney at halves our kicking game would be incredible, this would give us a huge advantage. Kite is better than Cross full stop. I would rather Hindmarsh on the bench than Fitzgibbon, although I would look to him if things went wrong in origin 1. Luke Lewis is in great form, and he would provide a great impact off the bench. Also covers a few positions in case of injury (Centres, 2nd Row, Half). Sutton would be omitted but if his good form continues he would probably come in for game 2.
1. B Stewart 2. J Hayne 3. M Gasnier 4. J Lyon 5. H El Masri 6. B Anasta 7. T Carney 8. B White 9. D Buderus (c) 10. B Kite 11. R Hoffman 12. W Mason 13. G Bird
14. A Laffranchi 15. A Tupou 16. N Hindmarsh 17. L Lewis 18. J Sutton (One to be omitted)

Luke Lewis has been called into the NSW side as 18th! Hopefully Hornby gets injured, Lewis would be much more valuable coming off the bench. Ill be suprised if Hornby gets much game time at all in the game, providing a back doesnt get injured.

Precisely what we are doing tonight. I looked at tickets and thought "Its really not worth it". They have themselves to blame, perhaps give us some value for money, make the tickets cheaper, make food and drink at the ground cheaper, and then more fans will "Use it". These 'mistakes' by the NRL/NSWRL keep sending our sport backwards. Queensland have less seats, yet there prices are slightly better than ours. Shouldn't the stadium with less seats be more expensive to go to? Considering they would be harder to get. Instead we can pay $45 for average seats in a massive stadium that is not good for watching footy in.

Must be. You can put a lot of that win down to our coach, the team as a unit played fantastic, the forwards did a great job. Bellamy new all Cam Smiths tricks and he was shut down everytime. From very early in the game NSW took the advantage and from there went on to take a deserved win. Stewart may have shone to you and yes he did a great job to always be there in position but the guys that set him up did very well, Gasnier, for one, did a great job as usual. Quinn was fantastic, 2 tries and suberb defence, my apologies for kicking him out of my prefered side! Wallace did a few really, really good kicks while attacking, and quite a few really, really ordinary ones in general play (i.e. out on the full ), he seemed to control the game well, gave some good ball out towards the wings, but didn't really do anything spectactular, didn't threaten the line. Bird didn't seem to do much at all, I would still prefer him playing in position with someone else at 5/8. In saying all this I don't expect our team to change for origin 2, bar injuries and the return of Gidley. GO NSW!!! ;D Now, surely we will have to face Prince next time?? Or will Lockyer be back? Karmichael had great defence but nothing in attack, perhaps he would go better as a 2nd rower or utility off the bench.

Gasnier out for 2-3 weeks, this may have a serious affect on origin, now the question is if he isn't available to play who replaces him, is lyon the front runner or is there another NSW centre out there

NSW ORIGIN 2 TEAM1. Brett Stewart 2. Jarryd Hayne* 3. Mark Gasnier 4. Matt Cooper 5. Anthony Quinn 6. Greg Bird 7. Peter Wallace 8. Brett White 9. Danny Buderus (capt) 10. Craig Fitzgibbon 11. Willie Mason 12. Ryan Hoffman 13. Paul Gallen 14. Kurt Gidley 15. Anthony Tupou 16. Steve Simpson 17. Anthony Laffranchi *=Judicary decision pending Gidley in for Hornby, I expected that. Cross out with an injury sees Simpson come in. QLD ORIGIN 2 TEAM1. Billy Slater 2. Darius Boyd 3. Greg Inglis 4. Brent Tate 5. Israel Folau 6. Darren Lockyer (capt) 7. Johnathan Thurston 8. Steve Price 9. Cameron Smith 10. Petero Civoniceva 11. Michael Crocker 12. Sam Thaiday 13. Dallas Johnson 14. Karmichael Hunt 15. Ben Hannant 16. Nate Myles 17. Ashley Harrison No Scott Prince again due to Lockyer's return ;D I would be putting him in instead of Thurston, who is in no such form at the moment. Maybe Prince will get his go after we flog them in game 2.

Hayne suspended. Steve Turner in.
Hayne's suspension is rediculous. He didn't even land in a dangerous position, he landed on his back.

It was extremely late and Carroll didn't have time to brace himself when Hayne lifted him, he was the forth man in the tackle and Hayne admitted he attempted to lift Carroll, he deserved to be suspended.

But you are allowed to lift, there is nothing wrong with that, it is the putting in a dangerous position that is the problem. Hayne admitting that attempted to lift means jack. If he had admitted that he attempted to put Carroll in a dangerous position then its a different story.
Hayne claimed he didn't hear the ref, and the fact that the others in the tackle did and let go meant that the lift looked worse.
How many weeks did Hodges get?
