ummmm yeh, i agree with josh,
more epping players for the smokin
max of two rep players/grade players per team,
and make it like no bowlers over 110 k's approx or something, i still feel really bad for almost knocking that indian kids head off

deerrr, the club invests in a speedometer
you can sort of estimate, i dunno, just if it looks like someone could get hurt, captain tells them to slow down

since manly rate their 7th graders so highly, i propose we invite their junior development squad to compete its an extra team, and you'll all have a reason to want to whip their sorry little asses

After HSC is finished, I'm going to have a tonne of time to organise stuff like this, you guys on the comittee will really help Anyway I was thinking of really expanded this, and I mean expanding it big time. When we finish school we can send out invitations to all clubs and invite them to create teams of players between 17 and 20. Players can not have played a certain level of reps. The comp begins after Christmas and we turn it into a mid week afternoon comp. I imagine there would be lots of interest we would get quite a few teams. Im also thinking fielding restriction circles, compulsory team jerseys, shorter boundaries and prizes. Something along those lines anyway.

not shorter boundaries!!!!

|
|
Post by nickmclachlan on Apr 25, 2008 21:43:08 GMT 10
yeh, they're short enough
a) no rep experience, so im out i guess? b) 7th grade team won B4's last year, so they'll be thinking they're hot shots, its all pawleys promising juniors, they'd be a good inclusion c) maybe a seniors team from the club?
thats all i can think of right now, compulsory team jerseys would be a bit hard, it pushes the price up, unless you get a sponsor:p
non-cricketing participants might be less willing if there is a cost higher than 20 bucks involved

Im not talking crazy team jerseys, you can buy a dodgy set of shirts all the same colour pretty cheap, and then do what you want with them. I didn't say no rep experience, I said a certain level, so we would put it just above u Nick haha When I say shorter boundaries I mean for playing at other grounds, say bring them in a few metres from where they would normally be. (E.g. Nolans, Grifith (Imagine the scores we'd get there!!!), Lake etc)

keep it in collaroy sucka, st matts, griffith and collaroy plateau, at least for this season, we're not gonna have that many teams thats at least 6 teams there
unless you have a player pool of over 120
and when im talking 7th grade i mean like tom kaye and his age

Having all the games at Nolans at one time on a Wednesday/Thursday arvo would be awesome I reckon. We have to expand from the Plateau to get more teams. Plateau isn't exactly the greatest ground anyway. And we are NEVER going to St Matts, the pitch/ground is incredible shat.

nolans hosts touch football as well, be wary
"that lot" aren't that bad, they're beatable, but dont take them lightly, i think they'll fail under the pressure of hitting though
