Jacko,
I think it is a damn shame Nannes got picked in for worthless Twenty20's against England, because it means he won't be able to turn out for Holland again. Lets facew it at 33 he is hardly the future of the sport for the aussies, but had so much to offer the Dutchies in terms of experience.
In my second weekend in Amsterdam on the sunday I watched VRA play HCC, who had 3 players in THAT match against the poms, including Tom De Grooth who was Man of the Match with 49 off 30 balls. We had a few beers (wasn't a smart idea on my behalf as I was still pretty crook) with Pete Borren and they were saying how good it was to have Nannes, because he gave the team such a lift.
You can't blame Nannes, but what is Hilditch thinking?
have to say I have watched a replay of THAT match twice. Love it. Especially Petes six into the 3rd tier off Collingwood. Didn't hit our Deano that far!

Your right Jacko. Can't downgrade Deano to Collingwoods level.
A big congrats to our man in the Dam - Pete Borren. Today he captains Holland for the first time in an ICC Intercontinental 4 day match against the new up and comers in world cricket: Afganistan.
So Deano it was actually the Dutch captain that sent you into the canals back in July!
Pete also hit 91 on the weekend for VRA against VVV to secure a semi-final berth for the club with a big win.
He might be out here in October for a few days and if he is, I will drag him down to the Brookie for the southern hemisphere version of THAT night at VRA. No glasses of 3/4 bacardi and 1/4 pepsi though.
