Well well, we know that this one always makes for an interesting game. St Matts obviously not the optimum location but I'm sure we can make do with it, just a quick question, Who is Arshdeep and Jamie? Are they bowlers/batsmen?
Counting down for this one, Riaz and co are VERY confident, which will make it all the better for us when we destroy them

We need a more solid batting line up. But I think we should beat them.

Ohhhhh Ash I didn't get that from arshdeep! Is he more of a batsman or bowler? Does Jamie bat?

Ash is both, Jamie is a bit of a basher when he bats if i remember correctly.

, Who is Arshdeep and Jamie? Are they bowlers/batsmen?
my first post, hit 9163, well done boys getting this thing up and running and indeed flourishing! No word on Arshdeep (gotta be careful typing that sorry mate!!) but i can confirm Jamie is a tall, robust left-arm orthodox (thaT'S OFF-BREAKS!) bowler who has good control and some variety. He also looks to be a very solid batsmen who i'd suggest could comfortably bat 4 or 5 in B-grade or 5-7 in A-grade. don't forget, he's a Pom so he's not used to winning a lot like us Aussies. but seriously, i'd recommend him for any team needing not just numbers but talent. For the record, CPCC A1s, led my myself for the first time officially, comfortably accounted for Manly Leagues CLub last week, rolling them for 144 (incl. 11 dropped catches boys) and passing their score comfortably 5-down (2 night watchmen, a run-out, a retirement and a wicket with the scores level) by about 2:45pm. Make it 2-out-of-2 guys! Pete maaan

Welcome Pete! Finally here Can you encourage your A1 conterparts to check this place out? Good news on Jamie. For a start we really need a spinner, he is the variety that we dearly need. If he's a solid batter it will also help... Although it will give Sam more headaches figuring out our order.

thank-you, an overdue visit but i think yo'll find i do an ok job of making up for lost time
just give James a go at one or the other a couple of times and sammy will work it out, he batted soundly the one time i saw but his off-spin was a-grade standard with little doubt, i had to concentrate hard to keep him out when facing him .... great headache to have when number 8 comes out with 30 to win and LOOKS like a batsman from the first ball, after grabbing 3 wickets the week before!
good to see the big fellas carden n richards sluggin it out for top poster!
Today i forwarded the link to about 20 cpcc people, past and present. steve ollis from england i see is here, get him chatting, loves a yarn and knows his cricket... for a Pom (thanks to a stint at Plateau of course!!)

Jacko,
I have a mate who might be keen to play this season. An excellent wicket keeper and pretty reasonable bat, I emailed him during the week about playing this season but haven't heard back so he might be away on work.
If you email me if you still need someone, I can try and call him in the morning.
Cheers,
Ade
