Hi Folks,
Need little help in here, I have already played a few games in the last season for B4 from Dee Why RSL club. Doing some search on the internet I came across this website and really liked the way club is being managed. I couldn't do the complete season last time as I arrived from Pakistan in January 2008 so came in the middle of the season. I am these days looking for a club to play for, I am a fast bowler and use to do attack for Dee Why RSL club and also can bat at number 5 or 6. I have played cricket since I was a kid and played at club level in Pakistan and also for my Uni and college.
Can anyone help me out with joining the club for this coming season in either B4 or B3?

Hi mate, welcome to the forum.
I'm sure that John Jackson (supercoach as he is known here) will get onto you about signing up. Last season we did not have a B4 team, but the lineups for next season are still unknown.

well...lordy ...officially you should go to the club website www.collaroyplateaucc.org.auand send an e mail to the webmaster expressing your interest in playing with the club. Unofficially it would help if you pass a basic cricket IQ test here on the forum.... -what province of pakistan are you from? -can you bowl reverse? -give me two key points to bowling reverse? -name the pakistani fast bowler who taught the locals how to bowl reverse when he played sheffield sheild with NSW in the 1980's? -What is stuart clarks nickname? what relation does it have to pakistani cricket?

Thanks mates, I really appreciate your help.
I will surely send an email to express my interest.
As far the questions are concerned:
>>-what province of pakistan are you from?
From Rawalpindi, from where Shoaib Akhtar and Azhar Mehmood are
-can you bowl reverse?
Well its not that easy to bowl and not like you can do it everytime, but in Pakistan you can learn that art as I have played with guys who can do it almost regularly. I learnt it from a friend when I was in college but I rely more on the seam as I am more of a seam bowler then using the swing.
-give me two key points to bowling reverse?
The ball has to be an old one like around 35-40 overs old will be best for it When you are doing the reverse swing the balls move towards the polished side It's suitable for the real quickies who can bowl at a good speed Depends on the weather as well, cuz its much better on a dry day
-name the pakistani fast bowler who taught the locals how to bowl reverse when he played sheffield sheild with NSW in the 1980's?
I am not sureof that one because dont know much about the history but during that time it must be Imran Khan or Sarfraz Nawaz as Imran Khan was given this art from Sarfraz Nawaz (who invented it) and then Imran Khan gave this to Wasim.
-What is stuart clarks nickname? what relation does it have to pakistani cricket?
ahhh, I know about that one haha as he bowls like Sarfraz Nawaz and this is why they have given him the nickname Sarfraz.

I guess I missinterpreted the following
>>give me two key points to bowling reverse?
The how to will be:
keep the shiny side towards the leg side and rough side towards slip It all depends on your action as you have to keep you hands angled and head away from hands

sure no problem >> What does the word Doosra mean in urdu? It means the second one or the other one Who 'invented' the doosra? Saqlain Mushtaq, during the times when Wasim was the captain of the team and Saqlain used to wrap up teams like anything... good old times!

nice one!! It was during my school days when Wasim and Waqar used to rock on and honestly every kid in Pakistan at that time wanted to bowl as fast as they can and bowl 6 yorkers in one over haha this is why Pakistan got quite a lot of fast bowlers in those years.
